Inter-dealer Brokers or Wholesale Market Brokers is a financial intermediary providing transaction information and facilitating transactions for the financial products of financial institutions. This industry is called inter-dealer broking industry.

An Inter-dealer broker means a professional institution which, electronically and audibly, facilitates the funds accommodation, foreign exchange transactions, bond transactions and derivative transactions among the financial institutions on wholesale market, and charges commissions. It is an indispensable “lubricant” on international financial market. The Inter-dealer broker will not act as a principal in any kind of trading, but only as an intermediary.
